About Clarendon Hills, IL - Happy To Be Your Hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Clarendon Hills is a small village positioned in DuPage County, Illinois. It is located about 20 miles west of Chicago and is considered to be a suburb of the city. Clarendon Hills was home to about 8,600 people in 2016 according to the United States Census Bureau. It is one of the smaller villages located in the western suburbs of Chicago.
Clarendon Hills is located in a region of the United States that was originally occupied by Native American Indians. Eventually, European-Americans took control of the land. In 1830, a man known as John J. Monell purchased 320-acres of northern Illinois prairie and forest. 9 years later this land was expanded and by 1840 John J. Monell owned more than 600-acres of property. The acreage owned by Monell would eventually become Clarendon Hills. However, Clarendon Hills would not take shape until the arrival of the Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad. After the construction of the railroad, commerce, tourism, and new residents arrived in Clarendon Hills to raise families and open businesses. If was not for the arrival of the railroad, it is possible Clarendon Hills would not be the thriving, beautiful village it is today.
Because Clarendon Hills is located in the northern United States, it is necessary for residents to have easy access to heating and cooling systems. Throughout the months of June, July, and August, daytime temperature highs average in the mid-80s. When heat waves pass through the village, temperatures can rise to the mid-90s. Cooling systems like central air conditioning units are best suited to keep residents of Clarendon Hills cool and comfortable inside their homes when temperatures rise.
In addition to cooling systems, residents of Clarendon Hills should hire professional HVAC technicians to install heating systems in their homes. Freezing temperatures and snowfall are common throughout the winter seasons in Clarendon Hills. When properly installed, heating systems like heat pumps can literally be lifesavers for residents of Clarendon Hills.
